Overview

National Green Tribunal has put on a restriction of only 1000 vehicles per day to Rohtang Top.Permits are provided from 12 am mid night & within minutes it’s sold out. And for that matter tour operatorsorganizing tours to manali& around (If Rohtang Top as snow point is in the same itinerary) may face hassles for ferrying clients to Rohtang Pass due to these permit constraints especially during peak season. That’s exactly whereJispa comes in. There is no restriction for number of vehicles heading beyond Rohtang. So one can add one or two nights stay in Jispa in the existing Manali tour itinerary by availing of Beyond Rohtang permits and also explore Lahaul valley for future prospects more so when the Rohtang tunnel & newer route Darcha – Shingkhur-La – Padum opens up in near future.
